Manuela lleva desde niña saliendo a pescar con su padre y cuando este se jubiló le cedió el cargo de patrona del buque “Rosario”, con el que sale cada día a pescar con sus 3 marineros, un trabajo del que disfruta enormemente. Sus excelentes dotes de liderazgo y su buena forma de trabajar le han llevado a convertirse en la primera mujer presidenta de la Organización de Productores Pesqueros Artesanales Lonja de Conil (OPP-72).

De familia pescadora y criada en un barrio marinero, Jacinta ha estado toda su vida en contacto con el mundo de la pesca. Actualmente, lleva más de 17 años trabajando en la OPP-72 donde se dedica a asesorar a las embarcaciones en temas burocráticos y de ayudas, gestionar permisos e inspecciones, coordinar y gestionar las acciones del Plan de Producción y Comercialización anual de la OPP-72 y solventar cualquier tipo de problema que tengan los pescadores de la Organización.
